Purpose I ­ Reading for Literary Experience (Fiction)

Strand 1: Comprehends important ideas and details.

Learning Target 1 - Demonstrate understanding of theme or message and supportive details.

Learning Target 2- Summarize with evidence from the reading.

Learning Target 3 - Make inferences or predictions based on the reading.

Learning Target 4 - Interpret vocabulary critical to the meaning of the text.

Learning Target 5 - Order steps, sequence, or parts from the reading.

Strand 2: Analyzes, interprets, and thinks critically.
